Shortlist of Visual CSS Editors

I thought it could be useful to create a shortlist of visual CSS editors ranging from the down right expensive aka Adobe, through to the very good value commonly referred to as free! They all have their merits and are worth exploring in greater detail.

I applogise if these tools are heavily focused on the Mac platform, I have tried to include PC visual CSS editors for balance but the Mac is my tool of choice for web development, my PC only ever gets turned on to sort out my “Bill Gates headaches”.

Single Line CSS

Light BulbI came across an interesting article on orderedlist.com relating to single line CSS and how using this technique could aid in organising your stylesheets and make finding selectors easier, especially in large CSS files. I know from bitter experience how hard it can be to locate that offending css selector.

The compression benefits alone makes this technique worth considering but I am particularily intersted in how it could help make my CSS easier to work with.

Lumosity - Refreshing Citrus Goodness

Lumosity

Lumosity is a website for training your brain, god knows my brain is in need of training most of the time! However not only is this website sweet for your brain, it’s candy for your eyes as well. The website uses a combination of citrus colours and harmonious neutral gradients to great effect.
